Spring has Sprung!!! 4.23.08
It's about time for some nice weather, right!? Hope it's nice where you are...here in MA it's in the 70's and sunny. So I reached another milestone here and went to my first Red Sox game at Fenway Park this past Saturday - what a blast! Such friendly people...I had a ball. Here are a couple of pictures I took.

A Belated Happy New Year! 1.23.08
I hope the year is off to a good start for everyone! I made it back from MI safe and sound and had a wonderful visit with my family and friends. Glad to be heading into a new year - I have high hopes for 2008, as I'm sure many of you do. I am in the process of moving my torching studio here to the house where I am living so that I can get back into my routine of late night beadmaking!! Right now my torch is set up at Jenny's (Geldard) house, and they don't keep the same kinds of hours as I do! lol
As usual, I hope to have new things posted soon...but I know you guys have heard that before! I really want to get *back on the horse* so to speak, though - thanks for checking in and I hope you come by again soon! Smiles...Erika

How is everyone's holiday shopping/preparation going? I have the house decorated and one or two gifts bought, but that's about it. I have been known to get pretty stressed out this time of year (you, too?!) and I am trying to stay upbeat for once! lol Trying to assure myself that it's ok that I don't have all the presents bought yet, etc.
I am really looking forward to going back to MI for a week! I will be gone from the 20th to the 27th and visiting my parent's in Auburn Hills. I also plan to visit Lansing and St. John's as well - can't wait to see my friends and family. If you are looking for any jewelry, please let me know. Pictures From Boston! 10-09-07
A couple of weeks ago my great friend Jenny and her family took me in to Boston for the day and we saw "Wicked." I have to say it was one of the most perfect days in my life - I wanted to share some photos with all of you. Also, FYI, I took the remaining bracelets out of the Jewelry Shop so there are no items for sale there at the moment. I am working on all new designs and should have some posted very soon.

Overdue Update! 9-25-07
How is everyone??! Are the leaves turning color where you are? They are starting to here in MA, and it's getting more spectacular by the day! Fall has always been my favorite time of year...such beauty everywhere.
Things are going really well here. I was without the internet for almost three weeks this month which was no fun, but I'm glad to be back online again now. I am working on some new Autumn inspired jewelry that I hope to be able to offer here for sale very soon. Bracelets on Sale and Update! 7-18-07
As usual, it has been forever since I have updated here! Yikes! Hope everyone's summer is going well. I am enjoying my first summer here in Mass. I recently moved into my own little apartment here not far from Jenny's house...trying to buy a little furniture, decorative stuff, and hoping it feels like home very soon.
I put all three bracelets in the Jewelry Shop on sale - be sure to check out the new prices! I also have a set of beads ready to put on ebay and will let you guys know when those are listed.
In the mean time I wanted to share a few more pictures. These are from my trip to southern Vermont with my friend Sally a couple of weeks ago...it was incredible! You see the little red cabin we stayed in, the freaky moth with the yellow mullet that was on our door, a shot of a rocky stream that was on the property, and someone's gorgeous flower box. New England is definitely as beautiful as I had hoped....talk to you soon! ~E

Things are continuing to go so well here in MA - I am having a great time and wanted to share more pictures of the sights I've seen! These are pictures from the town's annual Asparagus Festival - it was so charming!
The local kids really got into it...their costumes were great! First Week in Massachusetts 5-20-07
Well I made it! With my Dad's help, he and I and my two dogs Boone and Petrie made it to Jennifer's house last Saturday. My first week here has been great. Jen, her son Max, and husband John are all wonderful and have introduced me to some of their friends and family. I wanted to pop in here to share a few pictures and will add more along the way. John was kind enough to build a new workbench for Jen and I so we can both have our torches set up side by side in her studio...I should be up and running tomorrow! I am also going to be doing collaborative pieces with Jen. Her beads that I will make into jewelry and will sell on her website - I can't wait! She has been at Tank studio in Toronto teaching this weekend, but will be back tomorrow and I am hoping we can hit the torches together. Meanwhile, here are a few pics from this great new adventure of mine! My Dad and I in Jen's living room, the sign as we were coming into W. Brookfield, Max and my bird Gracie, Jen by the door of the local pub - the Tavern or the "T," a shot of the Post and Boot store in town...very New England-y!

It's Moving Day!! 5-11-07
Tomorrow morning I am off on a new adventure. I didn't give specifics before, but I am moving to MA to be an assistant to lampwork artist Jennifer Geldard. www.glassgirl.com Check out her site!! I am so thrilled to be starting this new chapter in my life. Not sure how long it will take me to get my computer set up again once I move, but I'll be sure to update here again once I'm settled.

More big changes! 4-24-07
Well, you may recall I eluded to an out of state move in my last post and it looks like it's all systems go on that front! I can't give all the details right now, but I will be moving to central Massachusetts in another few weeks! I am looking forward to this major change and opportunity for a fresh start. I have always heard wonderful things about New England and I can't wait to see the sights for myself. I will try to keep everyone posted and be back with more detals on this when I can. I am sooooo sorry that I have been MIA for so long, you guys. Life sure has it's ups and downs, doesn't it? Still going through lots of personal stuff as I deal with an impending divorce and possible out of state move. I am going to be able to get back on a torch at least temporarily beginning this weekend and I can't begin to tell you how happy that makes me!
I got to take a class with Jennifer Geldard recently at the Gathering Place in Naperville, IL and I haven't been able to get on a torch since! What a kind, wonderful, and incredibly gifted teacher Jennifer is! If you have a chance to take a class with her, by all means do!! Also be sure to check out the classes offered by Portia and Lee at The Gathering Place as it's the nicest studio I've taken classes in by far.
Anyway, please know I am okay and appreciate the suportive emails I have received immensely. I just haven't wanted to bog anyone down with my personal drama...hoping things will be better again soon. Until then, keep an eye out for more regular posts and hopefully new beads for sale soon!! ~Erika

Beads for Sale!!! 1.17.07
It is with much delight I am here to report that I finally have beads for sale on ebay again! I have another set in bright colors in the works that I hope to have listed this Sunday. I am waiting for some silver to arrive to finish up a few new bracelets that I also hope to have listed by this weekend and will be offering some sale jewelry items then as well.
Life is finally feeling more normal again and now that I am all set up studio-wise, I hope to stay busy making beads! I am working on getting my newsletter operational again as I am having trouble with it at the moment. I'd like to be able to email out updates to everyone again...
